Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors is proud of its close relationship with NSW Business Chamber. The Chamber was established in 1885 to support the growth and success of the business community in NSW and the ACT and to represent and champion the business community's interests and concerns with government. In 1999, the firm (then called Australian Business Lawyers) was set up as an independent workplace and commercial law firm. It continued to service the NSW Business Chamber as a valued client but sought to grow its client base. Its reputation as a first-class employment law firm grew, as did its list of blue-chip clients and recognition from international legal guides (see Our Achievements). During that time, Australian Business Lawyers had a long-standing relationship with NSW Business Chamber and was retained by the Chamber for ten years. Recognising the success of Australian Business Lawyers, on 1 November 2010, the NSW Business Chamber decided to further strengthen its service offering by acquiring the firm and thereby delivering collective benefits to both parties, clients and members. On 1 November 2011, Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors merged with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland’s legal services – CCIQ Legal Services Limited – to create a new office in Brisbane. As an incorporated legal practice, Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors Pty Ltd is subject to the full rigour and compliance regime applying to any other person carrying on legal practice. Our legal practice, full suite of services, training and publications continue, unimpeded, as does our dedication to legal excellence and client service.
