Which program is right for you?

Health and Safety Officers

As of 1 January 2012, new Workplace Health & Safety Laws are in force. Although the new laws do not specify a particular Workplace Health & Safety qualification, you can safety-proof your business with the nationally recognised Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety qualification.

Many existing Workplace Health & Safety Officers (WHSOs) have already undertaken the 2 day Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety Upgrade course and attained the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety qualification.

Committee Members and Workplace Health and Safety Representatives

If you are a nominated Workplace Health and Safety Represenatitve or Committee Member, it's important that you have a sound understanding of the Workplace Health and Safety legislation and develop a consultative approach to Workplace Health and Safety. Australian Business Training Solutions delivers a Safety Essentials for Committee Members course and a Functioning as a Workplace Health and Safety Representative course.

Leaders

As of 1 January 2012, new Workplace Health & Safety Laws are in place and as a leader you have new obligations that you are required to meet. Failure to do so can now result in company fines of up to $3 million and individual fines of up to $600,000.
